Camp Fire Cupcakes

These bonfires are a pleasant summer treat. What an adorable dessert to take along for camping trips or camping themed parties.


Ingredients :
  • 1 package of tooth picks
  • 1 box of French Vanilla cake mix
  • 1 C whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 C graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 C coco powder
  • 1 bag of mini pretzel rods
  • 1 bag of mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 C unsalted sweet cream butter

Frosting ingredients:
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3-5 TBSP Heavy whipping cream
  • yellow and orange gel food coloring
  • 1 large piping bag fitted with a medium star tip
  • 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter
  • 2 C powder sugar


Direction :
  1. Preheat your 350 degree oven and cupcake pan line with cupcake liners
  2. In a stand mixer, combine the cake mixture, butter, milk and eggs and mix at medium speed until combined
  3. Scoop the mixture 3/4 of the way into cupcake liners and burn 21 minutes
  4. When finished, remove and set aside until cool
  5. Using a mixer stand, mix butter, vanilla powdered sugar and heavy whipping cream.
  6. Shake stiffly the top of the form
  7. Scoop a few frostings into 2 bowls, 1 for yellow and 1 for orange frosting, leaving some frosting in the main bowl against the basic frost of the cupcakes

Directions for decoration:
  1. In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crust and coco powder, stir until combined
  2. Add 2 mini marshmallows to each pick tooth (about 12) and set aside
  3. Using a butter knife, frost left over the cupcake frosting using from the main bowl
